Floodlines

I had the opportunity to participate in a site specific performance art peice called “Floodlines,” conceived and directed by Jacqueline Pryor. The audience was seated in eight volvos cruising around the Hyde Park Neighborhood in a funeral procession. I was just one of many cast members on the street, wearing all white, and acting out a scenario. In the first part of the piece my group were exuberant fans of the New York marathon. In the second half of the piece, my group went to a different street, wore aviator sunglasses, and distributed gallon jugs of water to ten brides running down the street. Although the vignettes might seem random, the audience members I talked to afterwards said it was a transporting and dream-like experience.

The reviews were wonderful. Check out this one on Austin360: http://artsinaustin.austin360blogs.com/
