A local academic celebrity blogger (I know, who knew?) Anne Helen Petersen wrote an essay deconstructing the celebrity icon she has become.

The essay went viral and she got a ton of comments (and attacks) which she explores in a follow up post.

It’s always exciting to hear about the fan buzz and energy, but it’s also scary to hear how much backlash there can be to a post that is not really critical at all of Twilight. Let’s hope we can make our fans happy. Or at least cause a stir….
